Interactive production for Metropolis TV

From 2008 till 2010 I’ve led the internet activities of Dutch public broadcaster VPRO’s Metropolis by conceptualizing and producing their digital strategy.

From the first website to the latest API-driven system which connects Facebook Apps and possible third-party expansions, I’ve been involved in all Metropolis’ online projects. Also, exploring and optimizing the logistics of a global crossmedia project, has been one of my most demanding tasks: working with creators and their content in 50+ native languages to ultimately cater a global audience with a video platform with dynamic multilingual subtitling is not small feat. These activities have not gone unnoticed: Metropolis has been awarded with several important national and European media prizes for innovation and journalism.
