Vloedlicht Producties (Floodlight) is Tim van den Hoff‘s production company for film and interactive projects. Formally educated as a philosopher and having a zest for (cinematic) storytelling and an adventurous entrepreneurial spirit, I can draw on extensive experience in very diverse fields. I like to dwell where these areas converge.
Background
Having won the ThinkQuest Internet Challenge in 1999, I became a teen internet entrepreneur, founded my first business truelogiX and worked with 25 dedicated staffmembers on numerous interactive projects. Bankrupt at twenty, I had to work off a sizeable debt and resorted to my earlier passions of film and philosophy. After starting university in 2005 and founding my second company Vloedlicht in 2006, I joined Dutch public broadcaster VPRO in 2008. For their new crossmedia program Metropolis I was able to combine my experience on all three areas and contributed to the project for three years, until I had to focus on graduating. In the summer of 2011 I received my Master in Philosophy with distinction (cum laude) and started working out some new interesting projects combining these different subjects.
